Fundraiser Tips
We have several tips to make your Sandy Candy booth a winner at your fundraising event.
Tips for your Sandy Candy Booth at a Fundraising Event:
| 1. |
To
make money on your Sandy Candy school fundraiser booth, sell your straws
for a little more than they cost you. Typically a school will sell the
12” straws for $2 to make a profit. |
| 2. |
Hang
a sign above and behind your booth because the table of the booth
will be so crowded with children that a sign hanging from the table
will not be visible. Don't forget to say it's edible somewhere on the
sign. |
| 3. |
If
straws become clogged from children sticking the ends to close to their
mouth, simply
cut off the plastic part that is clogged, and recap the straw. Make sure
there are no sharp edges, and the child can continue eating from the straw. |
| 4. | Open the
box containing your order when it arrives and check the contents to make
certain it is complete. Remove the shrink-wrap from the candy bottles,
and take the pointed red caps off the tips; be sure to keep them as
they'll be needed if there are leftovers. Snip the tops of the pointed
tips: FOR SAND CANDY BOTTLES, cut just enough to let the candy flow in a
slow, thin stream. FOR PEBBLE CANDY BOTTLES, snip a larger hole to allow
the Pebbles to flow freely. |
| 5. | A terrific
time saver: If you are using 2-ended straws, (12-inch or 20-inch) be sure
to put a cap on ONE END of the straw BEFORE your event and this will save
time the day of your activity. |
|
6. |
Put the caps back on the candy bottles and store them in a cool, dry place, and they will be ready for your next fundraising event. |
